when we bought and planted two plants they had lovely flowers, but since then -nothing!
they have grown well and are very green but i'd love to see a bit of colour!

same here - no answers though, very difficult to keep going IMO

pigleto · 18/07/2007 16:06

are you feeding them too much?

massivebigpantsface · 18/07/2007 16:09

never fed them

gave them a bit of miracle gro now and again, but very sporadically

If they had flowers on them when you bought them, that was probably because they had been brought on to flower inside. I reckon nurseries do this to get you to buy the plant! Just give them time. They're probably not quite old enough to flower naturally.

Mine's 18 months old now and in conservatory.

They are getting plenty of sun? (well, as much as has been available this year!)

Oh dear - I've just bought one. No flowers on it, leaves look very healthy, only £1.79 at Morrisons, so I couldn't resist it. I have inherited one in our new house, struggling away under the shade of a bay tree and a clematis montana, that produces about two flowers - guess it's too shady but the growth is too entangled to try to move it. Having read these posts, I see that my new one will have to go in the sun, and then I'll have to be patient......
