Plum tree - is it dying?

It seemed to start off ok, lots of leaves started emerging, but before they've properly got going they are curling up? it's not totally dead, some good new leaves are sprouting, but I've never seen it like this before!

Sounds as though you've got plum leaf curling aphids.

www.greengardener.co.uk

This site can sell you British ladybird larvae that might help your tree.

This could also be the start of brown rot, what was the fruit like last year

The warm sunny days and clear cold nights are causing quite a few of the new leaves to turn brown. It could just be this.
