What can I plant on these spaces

We had some hedges which we had to removed as they were all killed by a bug. We want to fill the spaces again and add more color to the garden, but would like something that is sturdy and evergreen too. One corner gets more sun than the other one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Peiris is a lovely shrub that is evergreen and has interest all year. In the spring the new growth is flame coloured and it has bracts of small white flowers.
Eventually it can grow quite tall, but responds well to pruning, so you can keep it the height you want.

Bulbs for spring (bluebells in the shady bit, crocuses and narcissus in the others), on top on that, hellobore in the shady bit, a camellia shrub in the other with aquilegia at its base.
