Bees nesting in potato trenches

Hi gardeners. About a month ago I dug two parallel trenches for my spuds and planted them up a week later, the idea bring I could earth up the spuds in the trenches. This weekend I found bees nesting in little holes in the sides of one trench (main crop) and possibly in the other (earlies). I don't want to harm the bees but I've watered the spuds and eventually I'll have to earth them up as they're starting to poke up above the soil in the trench, and that will bury the nesting holes. Help please!

I am having the same issue, however I am laying a drain pipe, not growing potatoes... Smile

There quite a few and I don't want to harm them or get myself stung. Confused

Many thanks.
