Painted garden walls

We have breeze block walls around our garden and they look really drab.

I would love to paint them but am worried they will look messy and it will highlights the breeze blocks. All of the pictures I have seen on Pinterest have lovely rendered walls.

I am also thinking of doing it a dark blue. I think black would be too dark.
White would be too bright and will need a lot of repainting each year!

Would anyone share any pics of their gardens with painted walls please?

Probably not what you are looking for but we made these large front beds using breeze blocks. Placed length ways on their side. Not rendered just painted with masonry paint in strips of red, cream and pale green. This was done 2 years ago and it will need a fresh coat this winter.

Thank you! The colours and flowers look lovely.

Did you do it? I'm thinking about doing the same as rendering and pebbledashing is expensive and so far the base render keeps falling off!

We have a lovely garden wall with graffiti art ... something on the lines of very 90's ... Can't post a picture, as it's very outing! But it's basically lots of shapes and primary colour.
Everyone who sees it for the first time, loves it! (And get wall envy!)
