Plant identification

I saw this plant at a national trust property at the weekend and wondered if anyone knows what it is and if it would like a dark corner of my garden?

It's a clematis montana, I think. They like their heads in the sunshine and their roots in the shade.

Thank you. Hopefully it is clematis Montana as that's exactly what it would have in the corner I want to put it in
