Flowers for raised beds

Hi. I was hoping some of you green fingered lovelies could help me fill my raises beds.

I'm wanting flowers, different colours, shapes sizes etc. They must last most of not all year round, like the shade and not be poisonous for baby, dog, chickens.

Do such flowers exist? What would you suggest?

Thanks for reading Smile

Geraniums love shade (and sun).
They come in loads of different colours and spread fast and will come back each year

You can get a range of interesting leaf colours with heuchera (and heucherella and tiarella). Some ferns may be nice to offset more colourful plants, such as the evergreen Polystichum polyblepharum
