Mine is a dull at the moment, moved in last year & turfed and put shed & pergola in.

Have made a gate through back fence into the woods/lake behind & started a ‘secret wildlife garden’ though Smile

Need inspiration too!

Looks great @fattylawmaker

Did you do it yourself? I'm debating whether to invest in some designer/ landscaping but our garden is really small and I don't have much ££££

Love the pergola!

DH did most of the work with my ‘help’ Grin

Would love to jump on for inspiration if you don't mind? We've just moved into a new build. Lovely big garden - no idea what to do with it.

Not a gardener at all but would give it a go with some good advice.

Low maintenance but have a small veggie bed at bottom.

Posted in a much earlier thread, 2 years on and very happy with the garden, plants have grown and filled in the spaces

The photo with the pink thyme shows part of the sunken patio between the circular bench and the steps going down

@LemonThyme83 I remember seeing your garden on a thread a few years ago, it's looking absolutely fab, what a difference a bit of colour and filling out can make.

gardeninspirationwanted · 16/04/2019 08:44

Wow @LemonThyme83 that's amazing!

Lovely gardens. It’s so interesting to see how individual gardens are, yet all beautiful representations of nature.

gardeninspirationwanted · 16/04/2019 10:05

Also @LemonThyme83 I presume you got it done professionally if you don't mind me asking roughly how much did it cost. I'm wondering whether I should just bite the bullet and save up and get it done properly!

We paid £15k for everything. We knew nothing about plants (also not DIY types) and wanted our crappy new build lawn to be transformed quickly into something we could enjoy and that was low maintenance.

Here's a past thread on costs:

30k to landscape small London garden is this normal?!

Apart from what can be seen in the photos, that included digger hire, building a shed, cedar horizontal trellis, outside landscaping (small front garden and side of house + garden wall).
