Hi all,

Does anyone know what this is? If so, can i cut the brown leaves off the bottom?

Looks like Yucca or Phormium, either way, you can cut off the brown leaves.

Yes, but wait until the last frosts have finished. The brown leaves are protecting it at the moment.

I think it’s a Torbay Palm ( Cordyline australis). The dead leaves will pull off the trunk quite easily. Very satisfying

Yes it is a cordyline. When it eventually flowers the scent is amazing.
