Salvia Amistad not hardy enough so....

I foolishly didn't lift the three salvia amistads I had in the garden so now they are very much dead (not just sulking as I'd hoped). All my other salvias I have in pots in the greenhouse.

Can anyone recommend more hardy salvia for me to try this year? I'm in Cambridgeshire.

Don’t write it off just yet. Cut back old dead stems and watch the crown. Salvias are often late

I will leave them where they are but there's a distinct lack of anything going on at the crown. I gave them a mulch and a stiff talking too as well....

@handslikecowtits (great name btw) are yours showing signs of life? I know we are should be warmer here but we have a truly evil easterly wind which knocks things back. I've got there amistads in different locarions but all get sun most of the afternoon
