Plant ID one sorry!

Hi I was wondering if anyone has got any ideas on what this is? I've tried ID apps, asking everyone I know, googling extensively... No one knows! It's appeared in what was used as a fairy garden and is getting big now!

Looks like a weigela to me.

Yes could be weigela or maybe deutzia? The whispy branches look a bit like a pale leaved buddleja. Can you give us a closer pic of the leaves (my phone shows your pics as a little bit blurry when I try to look closer).

Are the leaves variegated?

No they seem to be all one colour. Deutzia was one of the possible options on the ID app I used. I have no idea where it's come from! This is another photo I took this afternoon (if it uploads!) Otherwise I can try again tomorrow.

Maybe forsythia.

Could be Philadelphus or Deutzia. I’ve both in my garden, also youngish shrubs and their leaves look similar. Although the Deutzia has buds on it.

Yes I was wondering philadelphus too.

The way the left stem arches and the way the leaves are arranged on it make me think deutzia.

I'm a bit stumped on this one op! Maybe we need to see it once leaves are a bit bigger.

Thank you for all of your suggestions! I'd be happy with any of those especially as my DFIL told me it was a weed and to just get rid! Will keep an eye on it and see what changes happen, then probably come running back here with more pictures for you! Thanks again!
