Too soon to start cutting rhubarb?

Just that really. I'm sure that it was much later last year (it's first) but of course the weather was very different.
Stems are about 30cm and I've run out of jam! Any experts know if I'll damage it by starting cutting too soon? Thanks

Is the rhubarb forced? Ours is about 1-2 inches max at the moment so if it's not forced you must live somewhere a lot warmer than us (east Anglia)

If it’s big enough I’d be cutting it. My forced early rhubarb is not quite their yet, I’m well jealous!
