What boots do you wear?

Any suggestions for gardening boots/shoes please? I am not really a fan of wellies because my feet get too cold (and then I get awful cramp). Ideally something not too budget-breaking!

Hi,

I am a full time gardener. After much trial and error I have settled on Dickies Medway safety boots. 100% waterproof. Warm in cold weather and light to wear. Plus steel toe caps, midsole protection for digging and shock absorbent heel. Usually retails between £45 (internet) and £60 (shop). I can buy my normal shoe size. Only problem I have found is that the laces won't stay laced!!

All the best,
Steve

I love my muck boots - i have the shoe ones. They are very comfy and warm, and if you go to any of the flower shows they generally have a good discount available.

Great tips, thank you both! I like the look of the muck boots particularly, the easy on/off is a big attraction, didn’t know you could get shoes like that.

I have these insulated wellies www.bogsfootwear.co.uk/shop/style/71781-020.html

I have raynauds so had the same problem with the cold in my old wellies. These are fab and made a huge difference.
