Can anyone recommend trees to plant at the end of the garden, we have a fence but would like some extra privacy

How big is the garden?

hellololabells2019 · 27/01/2019 19:34

It's 120 foot long. Want to create some privacy barrier at the end of it (see pic). I don't want to go the conifer route 🙂

Holm oak would grow well. Its an evergreen oak. Not great for wildlife but long-lived, large and actually really nice trees. The leaves resemble holly hence its Latin name 'Quercus ilex'.

Alternatively, Scots pine, Bournemouth pine or Swedish whitebeam.

Looking at your pic again, I'd be inclined to go Swedish whitebeam or the pines, rather than Holm oak. Holm oak would probably annoy your neighbours once they notice it.
