Climbing geranium: how to grow?

I need to replace a climber and just came across climbing geraniums. I love geranium plants, and wonder how similar they are? The website claims they spread up to 1m, is that so? I need a climber that I can grow in a pot and up a trellis against the wall, would they be suitable?

Could you give some more info as to what the catalogue says? Is it a bedding geranium (a pelargonium)? Some of them can be trained onto a frame or wires to get quite tall, but they are not climbers, and they are not hardy, and they are completely different from hardy border geraniums.

They're not strictly climbers, like clematis etc., they just grow tall, so would need to be tied in to a support, and they won't be winter hardy, so would need some protection over winter.
