Caring for a tree fern over winter

Hi just wondered if anyone owns a tree fern?

Mine is only little, about 15 inches off the ground. I’ve managed to keep it alive through the drought over summer but now I’m worrying about winter.

Does anyone have any top tips for tree fern care over winter? Thanks so much for reading.

Monty showed how to wrap them up on Gardeners World last week. There’s bound to be a utube video with advice.

Hii, I had one long before. I think the trunk need only be wrapped if the weather becomes inclement. In a mild winter, the plant may not need any protection at all. Do not worry about the fronds, it is the growing point that matters. Push straw or more loft insulation into the top of the trunk to help protect the top

Mine died last winter :( can you move it into a greenhouse at all? We had previously packed around the crown with straw and then held it in place with fleece which had always worked before
