Question about figs

I've got several fig saplings that produced a brilliant crop of figs this year. There is a second flush much larger than in previous years; I usually pull any off at this time of year.

Is it worth leaving them/ might they ripen? Or just treat as usual and pull off?

Leaves yellowing and it's pretty cold now (up north).

Monty Don was talking about this second crop on gardener's world last week, they won't ripen now so need to be picked as they take energy from the tree.

Fab thanks, that's what I usually do but this crop were bigger than usual!

Apparently it's due to the extra long hot summer, I love a bit of gardener's world!
