I presume so as where I work they have just put down masses of it on bare soil around a huge building/renovation project that has just been finished.

We've waited all summer until early September to sow grass seed.

It's the best time of year.

It needs to go in now though as it has to establish a root system before first frost.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be very slow to germinate this time and it's very patchy. Is anyone else having the same issue? I've always done my grass seed in the summer before and had much better results. I held off this year just because it's been so dry.

We're still overseeding established lawns and sowing new ones. In north Yorkshire. Germination will be slower, but still ok.
