Help! My roseAmary bush has spit like drops all over it?

I have noticed this spit like stuff on some of my plants but especially on my rosemary bush, what can I use to get rid of it? Please help as I love using rosemary in my food, but it looks nasty.

Cuckoos spit - it's ok they won't harm the bush. There are leetle green insects growing inside.

You can spray it off with the hose.

Thanks for the advice, I tried spraying it but its come back. Any other suggestions?

My grandmother swears by washing up liquid sprayed onto this.
Our lavender gets t too.
