Sun loving house plants

What would like my kitchen windowsill?? South facing so gets blasted during the day - anything that would love that??

Cacti and succulents? That's how I got bitten by the bug about 40 years ago, south-facing windows where nothing else survived.
Now I have two LARGE greenhouses full of 'em, I'm something of a fanatic about them. Succulents are probably best, cacti need REALLY good light or they look a bit sad...
