Complete novice here (trying to get better!). I bought this plant from the garden centre / one side was completely dead - over the last few weeks it has really thrived so much so that I had to move it from my bank garden as it was growing over our fence into the neighbours garden and strangling their bush.

I'm delighted that it's doing good again but I've moved it to our front porch and I'm at an loss at what to do with the vines. Should I buy a trellis to out beside the pot? Will it grow up the wall by itself?

It has to have wires or trellis to hang on to - it does not self attach
but well fed and watered the stems will reach 20 feet in a season
you then cut it back after the first frost
