They were found as seedlings in my greenhouse, not sure what from as daft as it sounds.
They look nice, so I potted them up, but identification would be good so I can look up any plant care for them.
Thanks in advance 🙂

The one on the left looks like it might flower soon, like little buds.
The one on the right is just spiky but quite ornamental I thought.
Just haven’t a clue how they got in my greenhouse. 😁

I'm no expert but the one on the left might be a young buddleia

bluerunningshoes · 10/08/2018 13:57

left is a budliah self seeding thug
right - sorry, no clue

I think you have potted what some people would consider weeds. Buddleia seeds itself and is sometimes called a bombsight plant although its flowers attracts butterflies, giving it it's informal name of butterfly bush. The other one looks just like the clumps we've dug out of a weed-infested bed in the middle of the lawn. Snip a bit of one of the stems and if it smells (and tastes) of onion, then it's chives.

Bombsite - thank you autocorrect.

Ah right. I was hoping nobody would mention the w word.
We already have a Buddleia in the garden, so how I didn’t recognise the similarity, God knows.

To be honest. I don’t want another Buddleia, as nice as they look.
I’ll check the other one to see if it’s a chive.

Thanks for your replies @cloudtree @wowfudge @bluerunningshoes.
