I think our lawn is all weed...

How do we sort it? We live abroad (Europe) where the weather is a bit more extreme than the uk and currently experiencing the same heatwave.

Complete beginner when it comes to gardening and we rent do don’t want to spend too much sorting what is essential someone else’s garden but we have barely any actual grass - see photo.

What can we do?

Hey you, you have two solutions

1. My solution for my UK garden is to get the weeds up rigorously, feed it water it and patch repair. The lawn is looking okay but it takes a lot of hard work

1. My solution for my french garden is to remove the lawn entirely, get it rotovated, and fit some green astroturf. I hate the astroturf solution generally - particularly in London which shouldn't be a problem - but in the hotter parts of Europe it can be impossible to maintain a proper lawn. Plus the mosquitoes live in the weeds - I am convinced.
