I just wanted to share my happiness at managing to successfully grow a crop of cantaloupe melons. Every year I grow melon plants, I enjoy the excitement of having to pollinate the female plants ( in a green house so not always many insects) and seeing which develop. Sometimes there are too many male flowers and other times too many females. I usually get about 4 fruits , quite small and if I am honest not very tasty. This year I have 10 good size melons, we have just eaten the first one and it was so fresh and sweet. I know my success is due to the heat and Sun this year but I am so pleased!
