Just leave it til the seed pods burst, then you'll get new plants : )

Or if you really want to chop it, give them a shake and the seeds might fall out onto the ground- then chop the flower stem back to the ground.

Thank you so muchSmile

Next question only just started gardening and don’t know what to do during growing and aftercare

So on this one when flowers have bloom then gone
Do pinch the bud off with the stem
Or
Just pinch dead flower and leave bud

Sorry for all questions novice here

On the balloon flower (Platycodon) just pinch off the stem behind the spent flower and leave the bud. More flowers will come.

For the blue poppy, clear away the dead debris and shake the seeds out first. Our colleague Mary Whitehouse is delightfully optimistic in suggesting you will get new plants. I’m afraid I’m miserably pessimistic in suggesting you won’t. I hope I’m wrong

@Trethew ha ha! I am, it's true- I will be completely honest and say I got a whopping TWO plants last year from my original plant, so I shan't be giving any away, but still..... progress!
