Weigela advice!

I have a pretty pink weigela in my garden that flowered earlier in the year before the flowers died. It's now just started flowering again for a second time round, which makes me very happy!

I was just wondering what I should do about this dead-looking branch in the middle of it (please see attached photo). Is it best to cut it right back or just leave?

Thanks!

I’d chop it out so you can’t see it. The plant won’t come to any harm. It’s lovely when they bloom again.

Hi JT, yes it's so lovely - I really wasn't expecting it so am very pleased Smile

Thanks for the advice - I will do just that!

Gosh, I had no idea that weigela could flower twice. I have two very established large ones, same variety, but they have never flowered twice. They are quite long flowering and I love them, but feeling quite shortchanged!
