Are these worth it or should I just get on with cutting the hedge with my shears? It's not huge... probably about an hours worth of manual work. I d like to thank you just waft it over the hedge and ta da

I found the rechargeable batteries had a limited life. After going through two in a couple of years I bought a corded one.

Do you use an extension lead with it? My plug would definitely not reach all the way round to the hedge at the front of the house.

We have one. It is fab. No battery issues for us. We have been using same batteries for the drill too for years before getting the hedge trimmers too.

No more thinking I can't be bothered to get it out because I have to plug in the extension and put the cord through the window etc. Just grab them out the shed and get on with it.

@Ouch44 which one do you have?

Watching with interest.I've recently borrowed some Gtech cordless hedge trimmers to see if I could manage them.I'm only small and we've a lot of hedges to cut.We do get them professionally done once a year, which gets them in really good shape for winter. But as our old very heavy petrol ones have packed in and DH is struggling with bad ankles I need to be able to grab something to tidy up .Haven't ordered them yet and would be interested in any other recommendations.

Back again. I have a Bosch one and do use the extension lead. You must plug it in via a circuit breaking device, to be safe.
I went to the shop to try them out, as some were very heavy to lift.
