Help! Our garden is horrible and i don't know where to begin to make it a nice outdoor space! Overgrown bushes, patchy grass, ivy everywhere and weeds between the patio slabs!Sad
We have lived here for 3 years and have neglected the garden while we worked inside- new kitchen, bathroom, stripping wallpaper etc.
I'd love to get someone in to sort it for me as i'm too busy and overwhelmed by it. Would it cost me a fortune (which i don't have)?

Start by getting hold of some hedge trimmers and giving the garden a short back and sides.

Cut off unruly hedge branches and pull ivy away from places it shouldn;t be.

Next, weed....this is the worst part if you ask me. If you don't want to use weedkiller, get a little tool for pulling them out at the roots. Ask in B&Q.

Then speak to B&Q or your local garden centre about grass seed and lawn food.

Get that done. Stay on top of the weeds! Once a week, go out and have a little look around.

Then you can think about flowers!

Came you share some photos?

After a general chop back and weeding pick one area and work on that.
