We've recently moved into a new house with a big, established garden full of plants which I am clueless about! I'm hoping you nice people might be able to help me out.

For starters, does anyone know what this is?

Maybe you could start binge watching 'gardeners world' on iplayer? Or do you have a knowledgeable neighbour? Someone who has local knowledge of your area's soil might be useful...

I have heard that there is a plant identifying app that can help you identify plants, not sure what it's called or if it works though...
