Anyone able to help with issues with a Cherry Blossom Tree?

I have wanted a cherry blossom for years! But finally found one which suits my garden, a dwarf weeping cherry. Bought a sapling of it last month and all been going well until the last week or so. The slugs have been at it which ive dealt with but im also having issues with leaves curling up, looking like theyve got mould or eggs and its generally looking very unhealthy and unhappy.

Ive bug sprayed and putting salt down regularly but its just looking sadder and sadder. I've added pictures of the worst looking bits.

Anyone got any ideas? I really dont want it to die =(

Where have you been putting the salt?

its in a giant beer drum at the moment so ive put it around the floor around the beer drum and in the beer drum - is there anywhere else that i can put it?

Could it be Cherry Blackfly? I have an ornamental cherry that suffers with these as it is too big to spray now. Glue bands in autumn on the trunk and Provado ultimate Fruit & veg bug killer. Won't help it now the leaves are damaged but you'll know for next year.

I've sprayed a couple of times with a bug spray which apparently kills blackfly =( i am hoping that the winter will kill off anything bad and start fresh next year but because its still a sapling im scared itll kill it completely

Don't put salt in the tub! Salt kills plants. I don't think your problem is due to the salt, it does look like Cherry blackfly.

Thank you, ive been to another garden centre today and theyve said the same @nanthewiser so theyve given me some specific heavy duty spray and told me to cut off any eaten, curled or leaves with eggs on! hopefully it will work.
