Cosmos not flowering?

If I remember correctly I planted the seeds at the end of March, maybe early April. As you can see the stems have grown quite tall, but no buds, no flowers, did I plant too many seeds? Or do they take longer to flower? I can't see any signs of them flowering!

Mine didn’t flower until the end of August last year. They just got bigger and bigger, over 5 ft! I think the compost was too rich so they just put on growth. Rather than feeling ‘stressed’ enough to flower and reproduce.
I’ll see if I can add a picture of the monsters.

Blimey! They are big! 😀 So there's still hope for flowers on mine then!

It's way too early to worry! Mine rarely flower before July, and some wait until August. They'll be gorgeous when they do flower. I have loads, in pots and borders, at least fifty, and only two have small buds on. They will be great in August when other stuff dips a bit. The night temp needs to be consistently warmer than it is to make them bloom.

Mine are very backwards in coming forwards too. I found the first flower yesterday though. These are my fist ever go at growing from seed!

I planted cosmos seeds last year and they grew to over 6ft tall before finally flowering at the end of August.
After a bit of research I bought seeds for dwarf Cosmos this year. But before I sowed then I spotted and bought four very small white Cosmos plants at £1.49 a pot and they’re giving me lots of flowers and are about 2ft tall.
So I’m no help then!
