Ideas for Father's Day plant/bush gift

I am totally clueless when it comes to gardens but both my Dad and FIL are keen gardeners with lovely gardens so I would like to get them each something as a Father's Day gift. I like the idea of getting something with 'meaning' either in it's name or what the plant represents etc- I'm that clueless I'm not even sure what I mean! However, I am hoping a kind soul out there will take pity and understand my ramblings. Thanks in advance

Do they like cooking as well as gardening. If so a Bay tree is a great gift or a herb planter.

What are their gardens like? Formal and neat? Cottage gardenish? Lots of pots, or just lawn and beds?

Do they like wildlife, (bird feeders etc))

Nice garden centres often have a lot of varied garden ornaments: sculptures, wall art, bird baths, etc. Those may last longer than a badly chosen shrub or perennial!

I would really like one of those obelisk things for climbers to grow up. I also really badly want these ceramic sheep to put among the grass under the Apple trees, but no one gets me them, no matter how blatantly I hint. I reckon my partner is vetoing them.

Stuff for bird feeding is always welcome.
