Patio cost

I am buying a newly built townhouse in the UK that is not yet complete. They have done up the small garden simply, creating a stone path, a terrace and a patio (I prefer top terrace :-) at the end of it. They put down astroturf which I cannot stand, but OH loves the idea of being able to go away and not worry. Anyway, I would like to add another patio/terrace which would mean reducing the size of the astroturf, making good the edge of it and laying either concrete or real paving stones. Nothing too expensive but good quality. The size would be 6' x 5'. Would anyone have any idea how about much these would cost?

Look at the Marshalls catalogue, choose a stone and ask one of their approved landscapers for a quote. Or if you are doing it yourself, the cost should be easy to work out. Marshall’s tend to be top price so you will have some wiggle room.

This quotation checker website is really good:

Thanks. I guess I should have said to have the work done for me plus the cost of the stones.

I did get a quote locally but I really could not see why it was soo much. For 3.35 m2 in the shape of an isosceles triangle (has 2 equal sides), they said £2,500. Gulp...

That sounds spot on from what I have heard.

Spot on....really? Oh my... I guess I have watched too many DIY videos and said to myself "I can do that!" but being honest with myself, I know I cannot.

Labour costs and disposal of waste costs really add up. Our guys were £100 per day each. You can save yourself money by disposing the waste yourself. Also, how difficult is the access? This also makes a difference to the price.
