I'm planning next year's project - a patio, retaining wall, new border and possibly new pond. I'll get our builder in to do the prep for the patio and wall, but I think we can lay the tiles and railway sleepers ourselves. But I'm worried it won't look "joined up".
Do you think a garden designer would be willing to help ? I'm not too bothered about a detailed planting design, but suggestions on where to move the fig tree to, how to work around a (hopefully) renovated quince bush etc, depth of borders and in particular how to work in the pond/rill we all dream of.
I think DH will think it's a complete waste of money so I don't want too detailed a plan as I think that will be £££ ???
