Please help! Bamboo stuck in pot!

I have just had 4 huge (2 metre) bamboos delivered.

I can't get them out of the pots. They are stuck tight.

I have noone to help me...I live very rurally and have only just moved in 2 weeks ago.

I am leaving for over a month in a few days, so I can't leave them, I don't think they would survive.

Aaaaah! What can I do? Is there a magic way of getting a tightly stuck plant out?

I can't turn them.upside down, they are too big.

Thanks.

They were a bloody fortune as well!

Plastic? Cut it down the side

UniversalTruth · 02/06/2018 17:39

Are you 100% sure you want to get the out of the pots? Are they clump forming ones?

loveka · 02/06/2018 17:43

Yes, they are clump forming.

The pots are quite small anyway.

Hmmm, I would need some special cutters to cut the plastic. What typpe of thing?

Just use a saw.

The roots are quite tough, you won’t damage it by using a saw. I initially potted mine in a lovely ceramic pot, but couldn’t get it out. To repot it I had to cut the roots. It caused no harm. I know pot them in plastic.

Are the pots really wet ? That can help. If there are holes in the pot you can try pushing up through them.

Saw will do the job, it's how I got mine out
