Climbing rose around arch

We are buying an arbour chair and want to grow rose to climb it. Stupid question but Should we plant a Rose each side to do this? We are looking at David Austin - Claire austin 🌹

A rose each side will give you better coverage. I planted Clare Austin last year. It’s a strong grower and I’m just waiting for the buds to open.
