Hi any idea what this is. From what I could see it was a tree rather than a shrub. Beautiful delicate peachy pink colour. Thank you

Oh this is not just normal dogwood/Cornus! It looks like cornus kousa which is something I've always wanted to try growing. Like this? www.burncoose.co.uk/site/plants.cfm?pl_id=1290

What's it like! I've always loved it but never actually seen one in the flesh...

Wobbly This is in a neighbours garden, is this one? I love it and wondered whether to buy one

They are beautiful , I saw a couple of green flowered ones at an open garden a couple of weeks ago - they were huge though.

MairzyDoats · 03/06/2018 08:01

That one looks a lot more manageable EeeSheWasThin

Eeeshewasthin I'm no expert but do have a look at the link I posted, that nursery does seem to have a few varieties.

I'd love to grow one but it would need to be in a pot and they just don't seem very suitable.

WobblyLondoner · 03/06/2018 12:58

Eeeshewasthin I wonder whether your neighbours' one is China Girl?

EeeSheWasThin · 03/06/2018 20:27

Wobbly I think it might be! They won’t know, they inherited a beautiful garden with the house and try to look after it 😀

You can grow cornus kousa in a pot, just a large one.

www.bluebellnursery.com - sell some lovely varieties. I bought China Girl last weekend. Beautiful.
