They're popping up all over my garden, very pretty, but I have no idea what they are.

Should I leave them to it, or will they take over?!

Tallest is currently about 3 foot.

Beautiful purple flowers when they come out.

Looks like rose bay willow herb. Have you got a picture of the flowers?

Buddleia maybe? We've had a few randomly appear in our garden. I've removed them because I didn't want them where they started growing but I've seen some gardens they look lovely in so it depends on if you like them where they are or not.

Ok here's the flowers (the only plant of many that's in bloom!)

Looking through google, the petals do look like rose bay willow herb, but the leaves seem much more delicate.

I think it must be it though, maybe it's just that these are not that well established yet - last year I pulled lots out as I thought they may be buddleia, the garden's not that huge and I have memories of a rampant buddleia causing my parents some problems...

Thank you for your help!

Not buddleia but it looks pretty. If it looks like it’s rampant and you don’t like it pull it all up.

I think it is purple toadflax, great for pollinators. The pale pink is my favourite.

Bingo!! It's toadflax Grin

Here's a pic from google, shows how the patch looked in bloom.

I'm going to let it do its thing in happiness.

Thanks all!
