Alternative to a hydrangea?

I'm redoing my garden and really wanted lots of big white hydrangeas but have just read that they are poisonous to cats if ingested.

I have a very greedy cat who will eat almost anything so don't want to risk it.

Can anyone please suggest an alternative?

will your cat really eat flowers from a plant?

Well if I can find something else I'll use something else. I'd rather be safe that sorry.

Penstemon can growquite large and have a long flowering season, Bush roses might fill the gap. I understand your concern.

Peonies?

Is there anything else in the bed already/planned? Japanese anemones? I have a tall white one called something jobert and I love it - flowers late summer so you would be able to buy now and get flowers this year
