What to do with flat leaf parsley going to seed?

I think my flat leaf parsley plant is going to seed. It's gone very spindly and gangly at the top and not really producing any good leaves below. What do I do - do I pinch out the top or leave it?

start again, the old bloke two doors down told me only yesterday that it only lasts 2-3 years. Plant more or cheat and get the rooted stuff from supermarket and dob it into the ground instead - no-one will ever know!

I think they go to seed quickly if they are not getting enough water - basically a final act of procreation before they kark it. But I might also be talking out of my bottom as am no expert...
