Raspberry bush or just a thorny weed?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if the attached is some sort of raspberry or blackberry bush, or just a horrible thorny weed? It seems to be growing quite a bit in my flower bed and I’m not sure what to do! The previous owner did mention something about raspberries in the garden when we moved in I think.

Thanks very much!

Doesn't look like raspberries, I thi K it's a blackberry. They're buggers to have in your garden though I wouldn't keep it, sorry x

it's a bramble.
if you are not careful it will take over your whole garden in no time.

Yikes - thanks all! I'm dreading getting rid of it as it has some pretty nasty thorns and is quite big! I think I may need to invest in some heavier duty gardening gloves Sad

better get rid of it now than of a whole forest of thorns in a few months

I just took a closer look at the flower bed and it seems to have spread over about a third of it! I definitely need to take action...

They are swine. You need to get right in and dig out the roots as deep as humanly possible. Worth cutting it back as it stops the long branches rooting at the ends, but there is no substitute for digging the bastards out.
