What is this plant?

Hello everyone! Complete novice gardener here, trying to identify every plant in my garden! My (normally super reliable) plant app can’t recognise the plant in the photo attached. I thought it was a circaea alpina (enchanter’s nightshade) but since the app can’t identify it I’m not so sure! Any thoughts?

It's a fuchsia isn't it?

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 18/05/2018 21:00

Fuschia? Or maybe monarda?

Definitely new shoots on a hardy fuschia.

Thanks so much everyone! Is this the same plant, or something different? They look very similar to me!

Tinkiiev, the app is called FlowerChecker -it’s pretty reliable normally, as it’s checked by real gardening experts. The downside is that you only get three free credits and then you have to pay! I’m surprised they couldn’t identify a fuchsia, as they’ve been spot on with everything else. Thank god for Mumsnet!

Yours is further on than mine are - I honestly thought they'd died and was very sad about it as my df got them for me when he was still alive.
They're finally shooting now. Smile

Thanks! I'm terrified of pulling up weeds in case they're secretly amazing not-weed plants...
