A large nos of these appeared all over allotments near my friend .

She grew a couple from seed for me .

We don't know what they are .I've done a lot of googling and am wondering if some kind of escaped/wild african daisy .

The flowers open and close ,I noticed that they had closed the other day about 4.30pm while it was still light .

When the plant is young it looks just like grass .Has flowered in this it's second year .Very tall ,5' ?

Friend says it has a long tap root - Sad wonder if she'll remain my friend when garden overrun .

Any ideas ?
