It's a weed. You might be told it's borage but it isn't.Get rid.

MattBerrysHair · 18/05/2018 16:50

It's called green alkanet. It's lovely but will take over if you let it.

Trethew · 18/05/2018 18:07

Same family as borage though

Gorgeous wall behind ..

I think it’s lovely. Weeds are only plants in the wrong place. If you like it then keep it!

passmetheloppers · 18/05/2018 18:35

The other one in the picture is a weed too.

CottonSock · 18/05/2018 18:37

Only a weed if you don't like it. My front garden is managed wild and I love it

user1494670108 · 18/05/2018 18:46

I think the other ones a poppy?

Sorry not Poppy that's in front and not in the picture but I thought the other one was a geranium? If it's not then what is it?
I have other pictures but have reached my daily allowance of pictures on Mumsnet (who knew?)😁

I like Alkanet, nice wee flowers at a time of year when there's not a lot blooming with us, the other one is a geranium

user1494670108 · 18/05/2018 21:03

Thank you pinkcherryblossomtree, it is Japanese anemone, I looked it up and recognise the flowers, pretty and nice and tall so that one gets to stay.
I've dug the other up already!
