What is this plant?

It has invaded my bed of geraniums (not pelargonium) and is very vigorous and hard to weed out.

Is it a geranium gone wild as the leaves are very similar or some other weed?

It's a wild flower, Geum urbanum, or wood avens.

So a weed I suppose, especially if it's in the middle of a clump of something else.

Yes, fuzzy, it’s overtaking everything. As far as I’m concerned it’s a weed.

It's a weed with me too...I allow it in the darkest reaches of my hedge but the minute it encroaches on the flowerbeds it is OUT! And don't let it seed.
