My battery powered strimmer is old and a new batter6 pack fists the sam3 as a new strimmer. Grrr.

Any recs for a petrol one that’s light and easy to use? Or a good battery one.

It’s for an allotment so need to be quite robust.

For petrol, I'd buy stihl or Honda. I think Honda do some with a four stroke engine which removes the need to mix the correct ratio of oil to petrol that is necessary with a two stroke, such as still. Straight shaft models tend to be more robust. For electric, I'd stick to Bosch or Makita

If you only need it very occasionally, you can hire quite cheaply.
