I went a bit crazy planting all sorts last year and stupidly didn't leave any markers. Can anyone help please?

Sweet William? Polyanthus, Geum?

JT05 · 07/05/2018 17:51

Second one could be Honesty, flowers in second year. The last one is wood aven, the wild version of Geum, but has small yellow flowers. Unless you actually planted a Geum! The wild version spreads like wildfire.
The first one could indeed be sweet William. Several plants have that sort of leaf.

Second look at 3 it does look like a garden Geum.

MrsJackRackham · 07/05/2018 17:59

Oh I was going for a country garden look so sweet William and geum I would have bought. Brilliant thank you. Could the second one be foxglove? I seem to remember buying those seeds Hmm

Looks like foxglove.

Second one looks like foxglove to me.

3catsandcounting · 07/05/2018 18:10

Is the first one a lily?

JT05 · 07/05/2018 18:13

It could be a foxglove, not unlike Honesty. Foxgloves also flower in their second year, but spread their lovely seeds.

Knittedfairies · 07/05/2018 18:21

Looking again, the second one does look like a foxglove.
