DD Y1 has been sent home with a tumbling tom plant. She has been ask to grow it at home. They are going to keeping a diary at school about the growth of their plant.
I not a big gardener but starting to get into veg growing. I have never grow tomatoes has I hate the things, dd on the other hand loves them.
Please tell me where is the best place to plant these. Got plenty of space but do they need to be in a pot or hanging basket and if so what size for one plant.
Any help would be greatfully recieved.

A pot 12" wide and 12" tall would do. Hanging basket be OK but it will need regular watering, tomatoes don't grow well if they dry out. And not hung to high as your DD won't be able to reach it and it'll be inconvenient for measuring and counting flowers etc!

And put it somewhere that gets lots of sun for as much of the day as possible as that will get the best crop of tomatoes.

Good luck!
