Lawn care tips?

Some patchy bits in our lawn right now after stuff being left on it for too long.
Any tips for how best to nurse it back to green health?

Using a spring tinted rake, scratch up the weak areas. Scatter some grass seed. If you can cover with a light blanket of compost this will help germination and protect the seed.
