This is growing really well in one of my flower beds and the bees love it. Can anyone identify please? I've a pretty much let it grow garden and there's tons of stuff from us and previous tenants so it's nice just to see what comes up. I'm just curious as to what it is. Thanks.

I would go for some variety of pulmonaria (lungwort), based on the leaves.

Cumberlover76 · 27/04/2018 18:31

Thanks, I think that's exactly what it is.

Lungwort is amazing. It feeds the bees as it blooms in Jan/February when there is nothing else about but snowdrops and crocuses. And it is really beautiful if you look at it. Trim it when it gets too big but lovely to have in your garden.

If you are weeding round it, then it might be worth wearing gloves - it gives me a really itchy rash.

if it's happy it;s really easy to split and move around to make more plants

Lovely pulmonaria!

I got one at a church plant sale, and now have several babies growing on.

Such lovely leaves all year, and a riot of flowers when you least expect.

AND it will tolerate quite a lot of shade.
Another lungwort fan here Grin

I need to move mine. Again. I had to remove it from its first planting site because it was engulfing a miniature rose. Unhappily, the emergency site I stuck it in is too sunny and it really flops out on sunny days.

Here's mine.
